Chick-fil-A Copycat Grilled Nuggets
These smoky, tender, and juicy grilled nuggets are a perfect homemade version of Chick-fil-A’s Grilled Nuggets. Marinated in a blend of Italian seasoning, garlic, and a touch of liquid smoke, they bring out that signature flavor. Pair them with homemade Chick-fil-A sauce for the ultimate experience!

- 2 lbs. chicken tenderloins sliced into 2-inch pieces
- ⅓ cup olive oil plus more for the pan
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp onion powder
- 2 tsp granulated sugar
- ½ tsp liquid smoke
- ¾ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- Chick-fil-A Sauce optional
In a mason jar, combine olive oil, apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, sugar, liquid smoke, salt, and black pepper. Shake well or blend in a food processor.
Place the chicken pieces in a zip-top bag, pour in the marinade, and remove excess air. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 4 hours).
When ready to cook, drain and discard the excess marinade.
Preheat a ridged grill pan (cast iron recommended) over medium heat for at least 5 minutes. Brush with olive oil.
Add chicken pieces to the pan and cook untouched for 4 minutes until they release easily.
Flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
Serve hot with Chick-fil-A sauce or your favorite dip!
