Crab Rangoon Melts
This Spicy Crab Rangoon Melt is a delightful fusion of creamy crab salad, crispy brioche, and melted mozzarella, offering a flavor-packed twist on the classic crab rangoon. - For the Crab Salad:
- 5 oz lump crab meat
- 2 scallions sliced
- 3 tbsp whipped or regular cream cheese
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp Sriracha
- 1 ½ tbsp Kewpie mayo
- Furikake for topping
- 1 tsp sweet chili sauce
- For the Rest:
- Brioche bread or any bread you prefer
- Mozzarella cheese
- Red pepper flakes
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Butter for melting
Preheat the oven to broil.
In a bowl, combine all the crab salad ingredients and mix until well combined. Adjust seasoning to taste, depending on how creamy or spicy you prefer it.
Add melted mozzarella cheese to two slices of brioche bread. Place on a baking sheet and broil for 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and browned slightly.
Scoop the crab salad onto the cheesy bread slices and close to form a sandwich.
Melt butter in a skillet over medium-low heat. Add the sandwich and cook, pressing down with a lid until the other side of the bread is browned and the cheese and crab salad have melted together.
Serve and enjoy!
