Ingredients

  • For the Brownie Layer:
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • For the Cookie Dough Filling:
  • ½ cup sweetened condensed milk
  • ½ cup maraschino cherries chopped
  • ½ cup mini chocolate chips optional

Instructions

  • Make the Brownie Batter:
  • In a large bowl, whisk together sugar and eggs. Stir in melted butter and vanilla extract. Add flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix until smooth, then fold in chocolate chips.
  • Bake the Brownie Base:
  • Spread batter in a greased or parchment-lined 8x8-inch baking pan. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 18–20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean. Cool completely.
  • Prepare the Cookie Dough:
  • In a medium bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk with chopped maraschino cherries (and mini chocolate chips if using). Stir until evenly mixed. Chill for 15 minutes.
  • Assemble the Bombs:
  • Break the brownie into pieces and roll into 18–20 small balls. Flatten slightly, then place about 1 tsp of cookie dough mixture in the center. Wrap the brownie around the filling and roll into a smooth ball.
  • Chill and Serve:
  • Place the bombs on a parchment-lined tray and chill for at least 30 minutes before serving. Optional: drizzle with melted chocolate or dust with cocoa powder for extra flair.
