  • 1 ½ lb sirloin steak thinly sliced
  • 1 ½ tbsp avocado oil for frying
  • For the Marinade:
  • 3 cloves garlic finely grated
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp turmeric
  • ½ tsp ground cloves
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 3 tbsp avocado oil
  • 1 ½ tsp salt or to taste

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Beef:
  • Slice sirloin steak against the grain into thin strips (about 2 inches long).
  • Transfer to a large bowl.
  • Marinate the Meat:
  • Add garlic, lemon juice, cumin, coriander, paprika, onion powder, turmeric, cloves, cayenne, cinnamon, avocado oil, and salt to the beef.
  • Mix well to coat the meat evenly.
  • For the best flavor, let it marinate for 30 minutes (optional but recommended).
  • Cook the Shawarma:
  • Heat avocado oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add the beef in a single layer, cooking in batches if necessary.
  • Sear for 4-6 minutes per side, until the liquid evaporates and the beef is golden brown.
