- For the Sliders:
- 2 lbs 80/20 ground beef
- 12- pack Hawaiian rolls
- 11 slices Colby Jack cheese or American cheese
- 1 large sweet onion diced
- 24 dill pickles
- 6 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cracked black pepper
- For the Easy Burger Sauce:
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 1 ½ tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 2 teaspoons pickled juice from pickles
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Slice Hawaiian rolls horizontally, keeping the top and bottom together on a baking tray.
In a skillet over medium heat, sauté diced onions in 1 tablespoon butter until soft and translucent. Set aside.
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, salt, and cracked pepper. Form into small patties to fit the slider buns.
Cook patties in a skillet over medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
Place cooked patties on the bottom half of the rolls. Top each with a slice of cheese, sautéed onions, and two dill pickle slices.
Spread the burger sauce on the top half of the rolls: mix mayonnaise, ketchup, yellow mustard, pickled juice, and cayenne pepper.
Melt remaining butter and brush over the top of the rolls.
Cover with foil and bake for 10-15 minutes, until cheese is melted and rolls are toasted.
Serve warm and enjoy!
-
Adjust cayenne pepper in the sauce for more or less heat.
