- – 600 g salmon fillet skin removed
- – 50 g plain flour or gluten-free flour
- – 1 medium free-range egg beaten
- – 100 g breadcrumbs see notes for alternatives
- – Oil for greasing or shallow frying
Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) if baking. Lightly grease a baking tray or heat oil in a frying pan for shallow frying.
Cut the salmon fillet into finger-sized strips.
Place the flour, beaten egg, and breadcrumbs into three separate shallow bowls.
Dip each salmon finger first in the flour, then the egg, and finally coat thoroughly with breadcrumbs.
Place the coated fish fingers on the prepared baking tray or into the hot oil.
Bake for 12–15 minutes, turning halfway through, or shallow fry for about 3 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through.
Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce or salad.
